I love midcentury modern furniture, and the warm mid-brown colours of the wood - and how it perfectly complements shades of sludge green. In the rooms above, I particularly love the light fittings, the collection of eBay pictures, and his kitsch wall of royal memorabilia plates. His whole house is right up my street.
Except that my flat doesn't look anything like this, and considering it's newly renovated, it is actually pretty close to my ideal. It is difficult to decide on a signature style, but I'm happy with my own grey walls, dark floors, an aspiration to find a similar sofa to this, and the dream of owning some more Charlie Mackesy artwork someday.

lovely choices!
I saw this mag earlier in the week and couldn't believe Jamie Theakston had such good taste! Do you reckon he had assistance?!
This is great. I believe I will take a shot at this :)
Hi Flora, No - from the article it seems like he really hunted down everything himself - spent loads of time on eBay etc. I am seriously impressed by his choices!
I have to say, I was gonna comment the same as Flora! I never imagined Jamie Theakston to have such style!
And inspired me to use Ebay as the main source for kitting out my new house when we move in!
I have a new found respect for him now! ;)

Ooh--I'll have to grab this issue of LIving Etc. We just got a new apartment (eek! it's so fab!) and it's time to start pulling inspiration images so that i can actually have a decorating plan.
Love your style lynne--of course!
Anne - make sure it's the April one. I just received my May sucscription and it was very disappointing. Not one thing I liked in the whole magazine.
this was a difficult challenge, wasn't it? these are all great interiors (i just wish i could get a livingetc easier in the states).
stunningly simple.
