Laura Baillie

Mixed media collages don't always appeal to me, because I think that with a Pritt stick, some bits of lace and a good eye, you could create one yourself. Except, every time I've tried, (ok, once) it hasn't worked out at all. Best to leave it to the professionals; Laura Baillie's shop has sweet designs made with tissue paper, vintage book pages, old postcards, and her own watercolour designs. Aren't they beautiful?

Gorgeous soothing images from photographer Martin Morrell. Wouldn't you love to eat a simple rustic meal of bread and cheese at the table in the top photograph? I've always walls with a natural, plastered look and wood with chipped paint - the tones in both these photos are so calming that I think that if you lived there it would be impossible to be in anything other than a loving, affectionate mood. What do you think?

Clare Gage

I've just come back from the hairdressers with a slightly mumsy haircut, so I'm indulging the rarely-outed Country Living side of my personality with these fabric-inspired ceramics from Clare Gage. I love the combination of textiles and crockery - I think the lace cup on the second row is especially delightful.

Wednesday workspace

When I see something I love on another blog, often I leave it a week or so before jumping on the round-the-blogs bandwagon, but I couldn't resist sharing this workspace which I've just seen on This is Glamorous. Isn't it delightful? I love this little nook - mainly because you can close the curtains on any mess. Yellow is officially my favourite colour, I think, but I can't introduce any into my flat's colour scheme until I ditch the orange Ikea curtains (an interim solution and experiment with colour which hasn't really worked out.)

This is Glamorous is one of my favourite blogs. I'm struggling with adjectives today, so all I can say is that it is really glamorous - definitely worth a visit.

Haberdash House

I love this latest discovery from Scottish designer Haberdash House - I especially love the circus-style letters. I wear a variation of the same outfit almost every day (white vest, navy/blue cardigan, skirt) and so I'm a great fan of statement jewellery to make myself look a little bit different. In fact, in my new job, one of my new colleagues said to me after two weeks "So, do you like blue then?" as I'd worn it every day. It's a little too late in life to be developing an edgy look (I just lack the inherent 'cool' factor) but I do like to look out for interesting necklaces and pendants.
