On gardening

Around this time of year, I become very excited about my garden, weeding it and cutting back the evil ivy from next door which spreads over my whole space. I head off to Ikea, and John Lewis, and try out garden furniture, but I don't want the plastic stuff or anything uncomfortable, the nice furniture is too expensive or doesn't fold away, and then it rains, and the crazy weeds and ivy come back... (let me know if you have any tips on any of the above.)

Some things I like, if I get around to gardening again soon:

Grow bag covers £13

Vintage crates £22, Zinc planters £69, Chair £375 (not practical for my garden, but it looks comfortable), Mini composter £90 - this I might buy sometime, my friend Emma has it and it's very cute! I've struggled to find a composter small enough for my garden.

PS My friend had these flower seedlings from Riverford last year, and I highly recommend them. They grew into the most beautiful flowers!

You can pick up those wooden crates and zinc planters for much less at this market sunburyantiques.com. Petersham Nurseries buy lot of their stock there.
