Hidden treasure?

I'm not always very organised for photo shoots, rushing around wrapping up suitably-sized objects to showcase new tape. After the shoot, the items will stay wrapped up for months and months. Look what I found when I unwrapped this today.
I bought these binoculars at the Wimbledon car boot sale a few years ago. I'm not sure why I thought I'd ever need opera binoculars. I've never taken them out of the box since, and I certainly hadn't noticed they've been missing for six months. I'm in the middle of ruthless decluttering (same as usual) and I'm wondering, should they stay or should they go?

Keep! Put them on a bookshelf open. You never know when you might live in a house with a view perfect for magnifying.

I say... STAY! You can use them for nosing on your neighbours if nothing else.

When you started this post I almost thought it was going to be a mouldy box of food under the wrapping. This is much more exciting of course!

The problem with stuff like this is it's totally useless but so fun and lovely it's hard to part with! I say keep, they're fab. And I too thought it was going to be something mouldy under the paper!!

Ha ha, the story of my life, should a chuck or keep! I'm afraid I always go for keep... throw them out and you'll get an invitation to the Opera tomorrow.

Keep them for when I come round so that I can stare at your neighbours and my flat ;-)

I have exactly the same pair - also still in their box and little velvet bag. I say keep them - and remember them next time you go to the theatre or a gig. After all, they fold flat so take up virtually no space at all...
