On Monday I took a knife skills course at Jamie Oliver's Recipease at Clapham Junction, a Christmas present from my brother, and had a ball. Of course there's no sign of Jamie "We see him when we can," said the instructor, but it was really well organised and I picked up lots of tips - you can read my full review at Looking to Cook. I can't wait to make ginger cordial, {a tip for using leftover ginger, which, did you know, you should peel with a spoon?}
As an aside, as a leap year special, I'm offering 20% off at Papermash this week for the first 29 people to either leave a comment on Facebook, or tweet me @papermashuk with their ideal way to spend an extra 24 hours.

This looks like a great course!
Sounds like a fun evening. I have never done a course there (I want to now) but I do like to go in for a browse when I'm passing!
This looks great, never thought about doing a knife course before. thanks for sharing.
Hmmm... methinks Hubby would insist I avoid such a course since I'm quite the kitchen clumsy! Now I hope we see some of your 'skills" in action... a recipe or some such??
always quite fancied going here!
I had no idea this was available in London.
Wondering if they do the same course in Fulham...
Thank you for talking about the course.
