Carriere Freres Industrie

I'm a new convert to expensive scented candles, after my Diptyque candle I bought last week {although who buys candle snuffers and wick trimmers, I would love to know.}

Next I want to try these Carriere Freres Industrie candles {£30.} Do you have a favourite candle? I'm not much of a scent connoisseur, but I think that Muji's candles {much cheaper} smell pretty good, and I love simple beeswax candles.

Hi Lynne, I love scented candles, but the price is always a sticking point with me. £30 to burn is how I see it! So I buy mine at

Smell wonderful with pure essential oils and for a fraction of the price. Merry Christmas lou xx

I am a total Diptyque addict and just rather extravagantly splashed out on one of the Oliban Christmas candles... My usual favourite is the Figuier though I recently discovered that the Muji fig candle is pretty darn good and less than a quarter of the price. Like the sound of these ones though...

I adore True Grace candles, and at £18 they're at the cheaper of the luxury scale.

They come in beautiful, reusable glass jars and the smells are not fake, nasty and overpowering but subtle and realistic. They burn for 40 hours and create this heavenly smell.

I am slightly addicted to the Violet candle. I've sadly lost the wick (I didn't trim it, clearly! *g*) but I keep it half used as it keeps my room smelling even without having to burn it.

I love Diptyque and Jo Malone the best, though both are a pricey indulgence! I adore the packaging on these ones!!

Thanks for all these lovely suggestions - Lou, I do somewhat agree with you - it's just burning money (I'm about half way through my Diptique candle already.) I've check out all your suggestions, thanks!

I agree with Violet-Creme and love True Grace. You can buy refills for their glass candles, which makes it much cheaper and eco-friendly after your initial splurge. They smell lovely and burn without turning the glass black.
