Novelists' rooms

A few weeks ago the Guardian ran a feature where they styled rooms inspired by novelists. The top room is for Virginia Woolf, the bottom room is for Ernest Hemingway. I especially like the moody tones of the navy walls - a colour I wouldn't have thought of painting a room. There are more rooms on their site, including a room for Zadie Smith and Haruki Murakami.

Awesome! I want them to do more. I love the Guardian's Writer's Room series too! It partly inspired my "where we blog from" series.

What brilliant photos! I always find it fascinating to see a person's bedroom - it gives such insight into their character. Thanks for sharing!

Ooh, what a cool idea. I like the navy walls too, although I don't know if I'd be so bold as to do it in my own house!

Can't decide on wallpaper for your room? Put up two types! Genius!

Like the navy too... that's a great colour for a room. (That said, there's no way I'm repainting any time soon!!)
