E is for Emma

In the UK, printers' blocks are relatively easy to come by, especially as single letters. I love the more scalloped typeface of this Victorian E which I recently bought for a friend's birthday. She sent me a photo of it 'in situ.' I think its hand-carved appearance is a perfect contrast to the smooth and modern surfaces around it. Great styling, Emma!

That's so pretty... Yeah I have quite a few printers' blocks (mainly Zs) and a printers block tray too... nothing as ornate as this though :)

Must go back and rummage in my local junkstore to see if I can find more. (You are bad for my bank balance right now!)
