Game, set and match

I'm getting ready to go to the Wimbledon men's final this Sunday. I don't have court tickets but I have ground tickets, so I can at least set up camp on Henman Hill without having had to queue overnight.

A few essentials for a long day watching tennis; my Topshop tennis print dress and a straw hat to stay protected from the sun. Some seat cushions (especially if you have a hard courtside seat) and the Blyton Picnic Set (I'm a marketeer's dream as the name has instantly made it more appealing to me) to avoid having to pay for overpriced strawberries and cream.

Feel confident of a British win this year? Pack a small bottle of champagne and these plastic but glamorous glasses. I have to admit I'm not that bothered who wins - I would so sell you my Centre Court tickets for £20,000 if I had them. But I can't wait to experience some Murray Mania all the same (if he makes it to the final) - the atmosphere will be fantastic.

Have a wonderful, wonderful day. Even if you don't get into Centre Court, I bet the real fans will all be on Henman Hill.
I've been to Wimbledon a couple of times and was lucky to get shaded seats. But you're right, the strawberry prices are silly!

I'm not a big fan of tennis... but as a fellow Scot I am hoping he wins... think the party atmosphere would be mad up here if he does. Have a fab day out... loving the dress too :)

oh my goodness, the blyton picnic set! thank you so much! I saw this in a little shop in Knutsford a few weeks ago, when I was in England visiting my grandparents and I've been kicking myself since for not 1) remembering the name of the store 2) getting any information on the lovely picnic basket.

how wonderful to see it on your blog, thank you! now to add to my wish list ;o)

and yes, the blyton? absolute perfect marketing -- I'm even more smitten than before.

I wish I could go to Wimbledon now sometime. It seems as thought you had a glorious time all set out before you to just grab hold of and enjoy. I hope you did!
