Love the one with the screen in the corner, such a lovely idea. Not so sure about the bathroom - it looks pretty but I would be so worried about it getting damp!

It just adds that element of imagination doesn't it? It makes you dream about the glamourous life that the inhabitant of the room must have...the dinner parties or grand balls where the beautiful dresses are worn.

That one in from Twig Hutchinson has haunted me forever, i have never been able to find out where that dress is from. It's the perfect shade of yellow for my skin tone.

Love these images! And what a great way to highlight a dress that you are in love with and maybe can't wear every single day of your life... :)

very pretty images. I always wonder if this idea would work in practice though, especially with dust and things.

adore the way you've compiled this post -- so lovely! and, have had a post about this very topic in the works for the past two years now and somehow never managed to finish -- these images may be just the inspiration needed . . .

hope you're having a wonderful bank holiday weekend, lynn! hope camping works out okay and looking forward to hearing about it next week xo
