I found these photos on the 1st Option site, and a quick Google search (tea shop + SE22) revealed it to be Le Chandelier. Has anyone been? I'm going to be in the vicinity when I go to the Midcentury Modern fair next week and wonder if it's worth a visit?

oh my goodness.. tea house perfection. I need to move to london.
looks like a beautiful place.
we'd be interested to know what you think of the midcentury modern show as it's a show we were thinking of applying to one day.
So sumptuous! Worth a pop in I'd think. Let us know what you think of it? K
So lovely, like palaces and apothacaries
Wow! Never heard of it but looks like the sort of place I want to go..... Ah it's been so long since I had a jolly jaunt around town...Sigh......Do you think I could push a muddy pram and dribbling baby in there...Or would in ruin the ambiance!???.....Hhhmmm...
I'm having inappropriate thought of plane tickets. This looks so lovely...
I live in East Dulwich and it's just down the road from me. It is very beautiful inside and has a good choice of tea. Quite pricey though especially for food. There's also a room upstairs which is good for those without buggies. (There are A LOT of buggies in East Dulwich which you may wish to avoid). Nothing against buggies though..I have a little one myself!
Yes it is my local tea place!! I took some nice photos when I was there last time. I love this place they sell a chocolate cake to die for...and upstair the morrocan relax room...
Oh that looks like such a gorgeous place to be!
I love the pictures of this tea shop, I would definitely visit. I also love chandeliers and always look for broken ones that I can use in a range of jewellery. I also love afternoon tea and have recently read about a teashop in Nottingham that is a favourite with the designer Sir Paul Smith. I am hoping to visit next weekend. It is called The Walk.

Yes - I have been and it's lovely. It's very close to my house! Great tea, friendly people - but not cheap. Worth it for the decor though :)

Can't believe I've not heard of this place before! It's on the 'other' side of South East London to me (I'm in Greenwich and Dulwich is surprisingly hard to get to) but I'm definitely going as soon as I can!
Thanks for the tip!

I really liked this tea spot when I visited. My review is here: www.afternoonteatotal.com
I went yesterday, and it was great. I originally read about it from this post a while back and couldn't wait to go. If you haven't been yet, I posted some pictures on my blog: http://foundnowhome.blogspot.com/2011/01/le-chandelier.html
