Paint your own pottery

I have been to two hen weekends over the last month where an afternoon activity was paint-your-own pottery {one in Oxford and one at Smarty Paints, near Wandsworth Common}. I devised a foolproof strategy after previous mistakes {can I paint a flock of birds in flight - no} and stuck to stripes. I was finished hours before everyone else! I thought I might never see either piece again but this weekend I was reunited with both and feel very proud. Flowers are leftovers from my lovely friend Sarah's wedding on Friday.

Painting my own pottery is on my 30 before 30 list. I so want to do it!

Ha ha, so much truth here. I always start out with such grand plans. Even my stripes tend towards the disastrous (unlike yours which are lovely and neat!). My only triumph is a pink piggy bank with £ signs all over it!
