'She rides above it', {£60}, a print I truly love, from Chase and Wonder. It reminds me of my first trip to the cinema, on a school trip to London, where I stayed in the Regent's Palace Hotel off Piccadilly, ate Dunkin' Donuts, and watched an odd film whose name I can't remember, about a strange man in an airship or a hot air balloon. Any ideas what it might have been? What was the first film you saw at the cinema?
UPDATE: it was The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Thanks, Erin and Sara!

was it The Adventures of Baron Munchausen? a classic Terry Gilliam number. Actually I think he's just on a ship in the air rather than an airship, hmmm...
Was it The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen?
What a lovely and nostalgic image! First ever movie I saw was Pollyanna with my Grandmama at a special Art Deco cinema in Africa. From the moment I wandered into the magical darkened world of buttery pop-corn and moving image I was sold!
Oh Lynne, it is beautiful!
Sadly, I was dragged kicking and screaming to see E.T. when I was tiny. Hated it. Luckily, the next one that sticks in my mind is Beetlejuice, which I LOVED and cured me of my cinema-phobia.
Still don't like E.T. though.
Sara + Erin, you're right, that was it!
