Straw styling competition: the winners

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the straw styling challenge: Royal Wedding Edition! The challenge was to style a party scene using stripy paper straws. I still have not had any ideas of my own!

First, the runners up:

When the party's over by Mathilde Heart Manech from Yorkshire and Royal Wedding {straw}berry Party {!} by MK Wings from Edinburgh. Congratulations - you both win 2 boxes of straws!

And first prize goes to....

Down the ale {brilliant!} by Thimbles and Crumbles, written by Surrey-based Sarah. I loved the 'Buck Palace Fizz' and all the props - doesn't it make you want to have a picnic? It's almost warm enough... Sarah wins a £50 voucher for Papermash. Please visit the winners and say hello! All other entrants win a £5 voucher.

Also, to celebrate, I'm offering 15% off today at Papermash if you fancy stocking up on street party supplies; just enter code straws at checkout.

Ooh congratulations Sarah! Love these entries. Life got in the way of me entering but my entry would never have been as creative as these anyway!

Lovely ideas and styling, I am hoping the Old town here has a street party if not I will have to host it myself, using your straws of course x

Thank you and well done everyone! We all had such different ideas it was a brilliant theme I have to say and has me all twitchy for some royal bunting and bun making!
Ps, it is just so perfectly clement here that a mik nik {as the little one calls them} is most definitely on the cards for today! x

Well done, Sarah! To be honest, as soon as I saw your 'Down The Ale', I thought, 'that's the winner!'. You put so much effort into it and I just want to be in that picture, so much fun!! And what a great title. Again, well done. x
