My first participant is textile designer Zeena Shah. I first spotted Zeena's work at a craft fair, when her designs were so prettily displayed in vintage suitcases. Her textiles include lavender owls and pin cushions, and she sells some lovely tapes, too. Here's the story of Zeena's £5 find; thanks Zeena!
"My £5 find was in my local charity shop. I love the patterned book and have been collecting Observer's Books for a while now so was very excited to find another! I am also a vintage tea cup hoarder and couldn't resist another to add to my collection, plus at £5 for the whole lot I couldn't say no."

The book and that teacup are things of beauty!
Love this series Lynne!
what sublime finds. real treasures...when you think of how £5 can be spent on throwaway items these days it is lovely to see it invested in longtime joy-giving-things. observer books are wonderful aren't they!
i am a recent zeena fan but can't praise her talents enough. her papercut cards are so beautiful...i'd definitely recommend them. and it's lovely to put a face to your name zeena. you look adorable! x
