The Animals and Children took to the Streets

Last night I went to see the most wonderful play, The Animals and Children took to the Streets, at the Battersea Arts Centre. It's a mixture of animation, puppetry and live action and is truly wonderful and visually stunning - I was transfixed. If you live in London I highly recommend it {the BAC has 'pay what you can' Tuesdays'.} It's by the 1927 theatre company and the film was animated by Paul Barritt. {Time Out Sydney loved it too.*} The above clip will give you a little bit of an idea.

*I'm on a cultural roll {often dragged along by another, more high brow, friend}- last weekend I saw the French film Of Gods and Men - oh, how I loved it, too. I'm still traumatised - has anyone else seen it?

I saw it featured in the Times last weekend and thought it would be amazing.
