Tea of the week: Quirky Dovetail's Secret Garden

An antiques shop in Balham has opened its garden (where it usually displays garden furniture) for tea and cake during summer weekends. Quirky Dovetail sells a range of painted furniture and some smaller collectables, which I think aren't too expensive - I've just bought a basket and a chair from there (I'll take some photos soon.) It's my new first choice for a weekend catch-up with friends.

I want to go too!

Also, here (in Dundee), there's a shop called The Secret Garden, and it's where you go to get your ladybits waxed!

Thanks for the recommendation - it looks perfect. I'm with artemis - tea, cakes and junk = awesomeness.

That looks like a really lovely place - can't believe more antique/junk places don't do this - people would never leave!

Will definitely be checking this out if I'm down in South London this summer.

Hmmm...tea & cake - one of my favourite combinations. There's a similar place here in Sofia and I think I'll go and check it out tomorrow.
