British blogs

First up, a new (to me) discovery but already a firm favourite, Wish Wish Wish. Student Carrie mainly writes about fashion, but there's a healthy dose of general vintage inspiration - check out her lovely hollow book treasure box. The photos above are from My Sugarland, where's she is currently interning. I love, love, love her blog design too. Thanks, Polly, for the tip-off.

Quaint Living is a photography blog by Oxford-based Alice, and documents lots of lovely excursions around Oxford and beyond (with recent trips to Brighton, London, and Shropshire.) I'm very jealous of her lunchtime picnic in the first photo. (I think I was subscribed to it already, but if not, it was recommended by Caroline, No.)

I like blogs with a very specific subject matter - and Quad Royal fits the bill. This is a blog about vintage posters from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, written by two collectors.

Thanks for the kind words - they're much appreciated. You might also appreciate Serge and Tweed (http://sergeandtweed.blogspot.com/), which wanders about in some of the quirkier corners of Britishness

Thanks so much for mentioning me!! I really appreciate it! :)

I see people are commenting that my site is down. I am really sorry to everyone but there is a momentary problem with the hosting :( We are working hard here to try and get the site back up. I hope that it will be back up tomorrow.

Quaint Living should be back up for most people now. There may possibly be a few people for whom it will take a few more hours to go live for but for most it should be fine. So sorry to everyone that this happened! At one stage I thought I had lost everything because there was an issue with the database and nameserver.

Thanks so much again Lynne for mentioning me!

alice - glad you got it sorted, I can see now why Lynne featured you. Thanks Lynne for sharing!
