Tom Butcher Ceramics is based in a blissful setting in Scotland, which can only inspire his simple, rustic tableware. I bought the whisky tumblers (top photo) for a male friend at Christmas and they were very well received. Tom is exhibiting in London soon, at the upcoming Country Living Fair. Has anyone been? Those are just beautiful. I love things that are all about utility and have a kind of austerity about them - no frills or fancy stuff, just wonderful form and function. Perfection.
I'm afraid I've not been to the fair before! I often find stuff like that a bit too 'perfect' for me - you know, selling this imaginary lifestyle that most of us can't even approach! That said I'm sure it's wonderful fantasizing :-)
So beautiful! I would love to add some of these pieces to my little Heath collection!
