A dual-purpose cork pot

Finally, here's a photo of my 'deskscaping' attempt - totally ripped off from the idea seen here. I researched buying one of the originals, but they were so expensive to ship (I haven't found any in the UK) that I went for a cheaper alternative instead.

I've styled it with a milk glass brooch and some of the stamps I bought on Friday.

Then, I had a flash of inspiration, loosely inspired by this wedding arrangement (well, the idea of a container inside another container.)

I looked in my cupboards and found a small ceramic beaker, which fits snugly inside the cork pot.

Ta da! I'm very impressed with my little flower arrangement. After I took the photos, I noticed that the shape of the flower on the brooch is similar to the shape of the white sweet william. It wasn't intentional - it must just be my subconscious inner stylist which helped me pull it together.

Love it! So simple and perfect. And I love that you can put flowers in it when you want to.
