Sarah Herriot Jewellery

Yesterday I went to a silversmith fair, in Richmond, South London, to visit a friend's designer friend who was exhibiting there. His work is mostly commissioned - a great option if you are based in London or Surrey and want a bespoke engagement ring or a slightly cheaper version of a Bond Street ring. He is ever so charming; carries his papers around in a battered-up leather suitcase. I learned a lot about precious stones in the short time I was listening to him.

I don't really wear jewellery that much, except for brightly coloured beads, but I had a quick look round the other stalls (all 100 of them) and there were a few which caught my eye. First up, Sarah Herriot. Her large, sculptural rings remind me a little of knuckledusters, but I love the shapes.




I would be a total liability if I wore one of these large rings, but I love her range of pendants too. I didn't dare ask the price, as ignorance can be bliss, but if I find myself in a stronger financial position soon I definitely intend to stop by her stand again at the next fair.
