Hable Construction: West Village store closing

I am very sorry to hear that Hable Construction's West Village shop in New York is closing down. It was one of my favourite stopping points when I lived a few streets away last year. It sold an eclectic mix of vintage goods, stylish cushions and storage options made from their great range of Hable prints. My favourite items were tiny whittled birds, and a lamp base made from old cogs - I've occasionally had a cursory look around car boot sales to see if I could buy some and make my own - no luck so far.

There are great reductions in-store, until the shop closes on 28th February, including 50% off their fabulous canvas totes, and snowglobes (my favourite!) from $3. If you look very carefully at Rita Konig's apartment below, I'm pretty certain that there are some Hable Construction totes under her desk.

Anyway, the good news is that Hable Construction is still alive and well - just not on Perry Street. Their products will still be available online, and in stores across the country. See here for stockists.

I love this sofa, upholstered on one of their designs. Perhaps I should consider this fabric (also available in yellow) for this chair?

I hate seeing so many wonderful places closing. This looks like it was a great place to visit.

I love that fabric in the light blue! Is there anyway to buy from the online store?
