I love it when people stick to a theme - the note she sent me was written on this beautiful postcard featuring Le petit Parisien. It is such a cute photo - it's definitely going on my inspiration board.
Another thing I have always noticed is that Americans always tend to have beautiful handwriting - and it's quite consistent across the whole nation, if I should make a generalisation; quite loopy and endearing. Has anyone else noticed?
Thanks Leigh! Also, Leigh has a business making wire couture, if you please. Check her website for lots of fabulous images. If I owned a clothes shop, I think one of her full-sized dresses would make a great statement in the window.

a delightful package!! I love that postcard.
Yay! I'm so glad you liked the treats :)
Also, the handwriting compliments totally made my day. xoxo.
What a sweet gift! Sadly, I don't think the handwriting generalization carries across the entire country - my handwriting is not nearly so nice.
ha, i love your comment about handwriting -- i grew up in america, but the rest of my family is british, and i was always shocked at how everyone in england has the same handwriting! :) would be funny to get a big group together in both countries and compare!
That photo is so sweet! I love old photographs and have a sizable collection :) I don't know about the Americans have good writing thing. Mine is only acceptable in caps, unless it's a really really good day. I think I see as much good writing as bad writing. I appreciate the projected compliment! haha :)
Agreed - Americans do have lovely handwriting. Everytime I buy something from Etsy, I always marvel at the beautifully hand written notes that accompany the item!
Thanks for the Hawaiian theme idea for Obama inaug party, I hadn't even thought of that! Could do hawaiian pizzas, fruit punch, flower garlands-as u said, pull out my surfboard for deco... etc. Great! :-) Thank you.
Funny as I always thought the French all have the same handwriting.
Cool post.
