I keep coming back to this swallows wallpaper by Places and Spaces. It's been around for quite a while, but it isn't as ubiquitous as my other favourite, the Cole and Son's tree wallpaper which I have seen everywhere, to the point that it's actually put me off buying it. But is that wrong? I still love the tree design, but I think there's only room for one black and white wallpaper in my house. This picture doesn't do the design justice at all - it looks stunning with the repeat. Just don't share the secret with too many people - I don't want everyone having it.

Swallows wallpaper
I keep coming back to this swallows wallpaper by Places and Spaces. It's been around for quite a while, but it isn't as ubiquitous as my other favourite, the Cole and Son's tree wallpaper which I have seen everywhere, to the point that it's actually put me off buying it. But is that wrong? I still love the tree design, but I think there's only room for one black and white wallpaper in my house. I have seen this tree wall paper up on walls in Chichester, England. They have used it in The Ship in North Street. The building has kept most if its Georgian and Regency interior with huge high windows. The paper has been applied to the strip of wall that leads up to and joins on to the wood of the sashes so that you get a glimpse of trees as a tall vertical slit, it is very effective. They have covered the very far back wall entirely with the trees, this is very much in the distance and is very successful. More follows....

Other walls are plan or papered with other papers, in particular there is a most beautiful giant purple iris paper, I am not sure where this comes from, this butts onto the trees at the opposite end of the tree wall in the conservatory. To contrast all this light and featheriness in the main bar they have used a very heavy solid black flock, wide striped, paper which is stunning.
