Wednesday workspace: an inspiration line

I have always wanted an inspiration board. As much as I love these collages, I don't like to cut up magazines and I don't like putting pins through any treasured photos or postcards. I take a long time to throw away magazines, and with good reason - I have just realised I was keeping that November 2005 newspaper for a reason, a month after I threw it away...

This doesn't mean I don't love this 'inspiration line' because I really do. And perhaps those little clothespegs do not cause much damage. I've recently been thinking about seasonal art (dreamy prints for summer and rich, nature-inspired prints for autumn), and an interchangeable display seems the perfect way to achieve it.

Oh I don't like cutting up magazines either unless they are given to me in a kind of dead codition. I use mini pegs on post cards and photos as such. That pic looks rather lovely!

Mini pegs on a piece of picture wire work great - I used to have all my polaroids hung above my bed like that. See: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fionapinkstars/2898704401/

I know what you mean about cutting up magazines. It is sad. I wish I had enough money to buy two copies of every magazine - one for keeping and one for cutting up. I do cut a few things out sometimes - but then I hate flicking back through magazines and finding big holes (I also keep all my copies). Hmmm dilemma! haha.

I love this! Such a unique was to display inspiration. And the little clips make it so easy to interchange ideas for moods and seasons.

Beautiful!

I really like this too! I actually have a bunch of those little clothespins just 'cause I can't resist buying them, thinking I'm going to use them in something. Now I have something!
Thanks....love your blog. J

I am currently trying to make a sort of inspiration wall. I reaaaaally love the line effect, as I'm also a bit of a control freak!
